Snow Lion Martial Arts Centers began in rural Ontario in early 2000 and moved to the city of St Thomas in 2005. It now runs classes out of its new London Location and still offering private instruction at it St Thomas Honbu (HQ).

About Us

Snow Lion Martial Arts Centers were first started in rural Ontario in early 2000. It was founded by Jason Carter as a sister club to “K&D Martial Arts Centres” which has been running a very successful club since 1986. It moved to its present Head Quarters in St Thomas, Ontario in 2005 and is now running class from it new location in London, Ontario as well as private/advanced instruction at its HQ in St Thomas.

Mr. Carter is ranked in Shotokan Karate and is also a first generation linage holder for the modern Jujitsu Ryu of Seishindo which he was one of the first 6 students to receive the rank of Shodan from the Ryus founder. He has also gone on to found his own Jujitsu Ryu which is called “Nyingbu-lam”. It is a rugged Jujitsu system containing heavy strikes, joint locks, throws and pressure points. It was generated from his many years of training in the arts of Kung Fu, Judo, Karate & Jujitsu Together it forms one of the most effective and simple self defense systems that one can learn..

What separates Nyingbu-lam Jujitsu from many other systems is that, it covers all areas of defense, from the stand to the ground and all areas in between, from empty hand to weapons. This gives students the ability to defend themselves and their loved ones from a multitude of attacks from a multitude of positions.
 

The Best Defense is a Devastating Offence

Nyingbu-lam Jujitsu is officially recognized by the International Mixed Martial Arts Association, European Jujitsu / Jujutsu Union, International Jujitsu Federation and the  Nippon Seibukan Academy and are under the International Counsel of Sport Science and Physical Education [ICSSPE] and the United Nations Educational Cultural Scientific Organization [UNECSO] umbrella. So therefore students can take pride in knowing that there rank and titles are truly recognized world wide.
